Bilingual Receptionist Afternoon shift

Our reputable private sector client is seeking a permanent bilingual receptionist to join their office administration team. If you have professional communication skills, a welcoming demeanor and are an excellent team player this would be a fantastic opportunity to join this highly regarded organization. This position offers 2 weeks vacation, benefits (health, medical, dental), pension, free parking and is also bus accessible. Hours are 12pm-7pm, Monday-Friday.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome all members of the public entering our client’s establishment
  • Direct all incoming telephone calls to the appropriate respondent
  • Sort and prepare all incoming mail for external courier services
  • Identify incoming deliveries, track registered mail and advise recipients of the same
  • Maintain and update the staff directory
  • Ensure office supplies are well stocked; equipment and services are functioning appropriately
  • Monitor records of long distance faxes and long distance telephone log
  • Provide administrative assistance to team members and perform other duties as required and directed by the position supervisor

Qualifications and Experience

  • Advanced French oral skills and Fluent English oral and written skills
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and electronic platforms including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and general database management programs
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Applies tact and diplomacy when communicating
  • Professional demeanor
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • 2-3 years working in a front line reception/administration role

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: College Diploma

Preferred field of study: 3 year Bachelor of Administration
