Job DescriptionWe are a very busy North York Plastic Surgery office looking for a full-time medical receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate has worked within the cosmetic field and has some familiarity with surgical and/or non-surgical cosmetic procedures. We are looking for a professional individual with a focus on patient care and customer service. Exceptional organizational and computer skills are required combined with a polished and friendly personality. As a Medical Receptionist your responsibilities will include: Welcoming the patients in person and on the phone in a friendly and warm manner Answering incoming phone calls regarding treatments offered, appointment times, consultation fees Must be comfortable discussing available services, procedures and products including skin care Scheduling appointments for consultations and procedures Registering patients and entering data in computer system including contact information Making appointment reminder calls to surgical and non-surgical patients Preparing, maintaining, and updating patient files/charts Preparing labels for OR specimens and sending off specimens to laboratory Performing financial transactions such as debit, credit card and cash Performing OHIP billing transactions through Medical EMR system Dealing with courier and lab services Maintaining cleanliness of reception area and examination rooms Other responsibilities as needed Compensation: $17 – $20 per hour (depending on experience and performance) Location: North York Hours: 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday Requirements Required Skills/Experience: Exceptional customer service skills a must Experience as a medical receptionist an asset Excellent computer skills Professional, outgoing and energetic personality Be an organized multi-tasker Excellent command of the English language (written and oral) Be able to process high volumes of work quickly, efficiently, and accurately Must be self-motivated to work independently and be able to work well in a team environment as well OHIP billing experience would be an asset Knowledge of Plastic Surgery procedures and/or non-surgical cosmetic procedures an asset
