Receptionist/Administrative Support

Lehigh Hanson is seeking a qualified Receptionist. This position will reside in Edmonton, Alberta. Reporting to the Executive Assistant this position will be responsible for providing reception and
administrative support as the primary point of contact for Lehigh Hanson Head Office. Operating switchboard and maintaining office functionality will be essential to this position.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS

  • Greet visitors, in person or by telephone; answering or referring inquiries and directing to appropriate departments or to direct lines
  • Assist and direct visitors by maintaining employee and department directories of office and surrounding facilities
  • Arrange courier service for outgoing and incoming delivery, sort and deliver mail, and direct inter-office mail
  • Schedule and assist in the preparation of meetings, meeting rooms, boardrooms and other office facilities
  • Maintain a continual knowledge of company policies, rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Review and redirect office maintenance requests to the appropriate repair/contact person
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Assistant and various departments as required
  • Daily organization and tidiness of reception and administrative areas
  • Maintaining the office supply room and ordering supplies when required
  • Data entry for various departments
  • Exercise sound judgment, integrity and professionalism in all aspects including working with confidential and sensitive information
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, work on schedule and within deadlines
  • Maintain a positive professional attitude and appearance at all times
  • Processing of invoices for various office departments
  • Various tasks as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary administrative training is an asset
  • Minimum high school diploma
  • Minimum 2+ year’s administrative experience required
  • Advanced with Microsoft Office software – Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Ability to self-start tasks, take initiative and anticipate the needs of others
  • Experience with JDE and SAP preferred
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
