We currently have the following opportunity available at Tucker Hall: Receptionist Casual Saint John, New Brunswick What you will do… Reporting to the Health Services Manager and based in Saint John, NB, the receptionist will be essential in creating a positive experience with those they interact with on a day to day basis.

You will be an ambassador of Shannex in all that you do interacting with the public, residents and staff.

The Receptionist sets the tone and the expectation for service excellence and client interaction in the facility.

Who You Are… As the successful candidate, you have a relevant education and at least three years of experience in a similar role.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can put your strong multi-tasking skills to good use.

You are meticulous with your work, have a keen eye for detail and are known for your high standards, especially with regards to confidential matters and client service.

You are seeking a role that will allow you to grow and demonstrate your administrative skills.

This role requires a high level of interaction with other individuals; being an effective communicator and having an outgoing personality are key strengths we are seeking.

You must have strong computer literacy skills and excellent verbal and written skills.

How you will do it… Answers and transfers telephone inquiries, greets and directs visitors; Provides routine information and responds to inquiries from residents, visitors, and staff; Active screening of employees and visitors (Covid-19); Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail and couriers; Prepares and distributes forms, reports and other documents to appropriate personnel and departments; Performs a wide variety of assignments, which are sometimes confidential in nature; Receives, processes and records client payments Monitors fire alarm panel, security alarm panel and front door while adhering to safety and security duties as per facility policy; Ensures client safety by following and applying all standard operational procedures, safe work practices and training provide The must haves High School diploma or equivalent education completed; Office Administration/Professional Secretarial diploma or university degree; Minimum one year experience in client services/administrative; Strong client focus and a positive attitude; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong computer literacy skills (including word processing, spreadsheet and database software); Ability to work a schedule of flexible hours/shifts inclusive of days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
