Receptionist/Customer Service

  • Take calls in order to:
  • Answer questions, inquiries, give information about products, services offered by the company and delivery times.
  • Take orders for the purchase and rental of fencing products and services.
  • Transfer all calls requiring a technical representative to either the internal representative or the appropriate voice mailbox.
  • Transfer calls to the appropriate person in the company.
  • Greet customers who come to our offices. Answer their questions, take purchase and rental orders, provide information on products and services offered.
  • Process orders and customer needs in the computer system:
  • Create account for new customers.
  • Create check-out, billing and return slips.
  • Transfer the necessary information to the delivery service: order preparation and map.
  • Make sure to take a deposit when necessary and process in the computer system.
  • Promote certain showroom products, highlighting certain specials, reminding customers of certain services that may be offered, etc.
  • As needed, conduct customer satisfaction follow-ups.
  • Occasionally, take customer complaints, handle them if possible or transfer them to the person in charge.
  • Open and distribute mail and see to the distribution of documents received by fax;
  • Produce credit card statements on a daily basis.
  • Upon opening, take and redistribute messages from the general voice mailbox.
  • Other related duties.

  • College diploma and/or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written).
  • Three years experience in a similar position.
  • Good learning skills.
  • Experience in construction, scaffolding and/or manufacturing (asset).
  • Knowledge of MS-Office software. (Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to handle multiple calls and multiple customers at the same time.
  • Interpersonal skills, versatile, team spirit, autonomy, good judgment, and sense of priorities.

Experience working in a rental center (important asset).
