Salary(Grade:05) Hiring salary range $43305-$54,698 Position Purpose Under the authority of the Assistant Director of the Career Development Center, the incumbent is responsible for the proper functioning of the reception desk and solving the various problems presented by the clients.

Being the first point of communication/contact with external clients, this position requires that the incumbent apply a professional approach at all times and demonstrate tact, courtesy and diplomacy (by telephone, e-mail and in person reception).

The incumbent coordinates the calendars of all advisors (6).

Essential Qualifications Demonstrated experience and knowledge of reception, secretarial and clerical skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of the University’s services normally acquired through post-secondary training or equivalent experience.Experience in customer service.Ability to produce high quality work under pressure while meeting strict deadlines.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Strong organizational skills.

Experience of computer systems and software including spreadsheets, databases, Internet and e-mail .High level of discretion, reliability, courtesy, diplomacy, professionalism and maturity.Bilingualism French and English (spoken and written) Key Competencies Key competencies required at the University of Ottawa:Planning: Organize in time a series of actions or events in order to achieve an objective or a project.
